Where do you find the latest marketing technology, some of the brightest minds in digital marketing, inspirational speakers, hands-on training and the chance to network with thousands of your peers? Salesforce’s annual Connections marketing event!
Salesforce Marketing Cloud hosted Connections in Atlanta from May 10-12 this year. Connections is a three-day annual conference that is focused on the power of Salesforce for marketers — showcasing the Customer Success Platform. Attendees had a wide variety of sessions from which to choose: inspiring keynote speakers, 150+ breakout and hands-on training sessions, and networking opportunities with professionals of all positions in a variety of industries.
Nine team members from ListEngage attended Connections this year. Amy Polic, one of ListEngage’s Solutions Architects who experienced the conference for the first time, commented, “The energy was palpable, and you could tell that everyone was there because they loved Marketing Cloud and wanted to learn more about it. My favorite speaker was Captain Scott Kelly. His message that you don’t have to be the best or the brightest for your life to have a meaningful trajectory resonated with me. You just have to have a dream and be willing to put in the work. The Salesforce products are all about enabling businesses to put their dreams into action. If you can dream it, there’s an app for that!”
In addition to Marketing Cloud, which helps digital marketers build 1-to-1 journeys across email, mobile, social, advertising, websites, and IoT, Salesforce also featured:
Many top-name brands — including L’Oréal, American Express, Facebook, Litmus, General Motors, Capital One, Wyndham, Change.org, to name a few — offered customer stories and innovative use cases and best practices.
In addition to the latest marketing technology, conference goers heard inspirational keynotes by Rep. John Lewis, U.S. Congressman and Civil Rights leader, U.S. Astronaut Captain Scott Kelly, ABC’s Good Morning America Co-Anchor Robin Roberts, and others. To top it all off, the Connections Music Festival featured renowned musician Stevie Wonder in concert at the Georgia Dome.
Connections is more than a marketing event — it’s an experience everyone should have at least once. “Connections serves as a showplace for a bird’s eye view of new or changing features in the Salesforce Marketing Cloud eco-system, which can be hard to get from merely trawling the website,” said Tom Porter, a Solutions Architect for ListEngage. “I found the demos and hands-on sessions to be very useful when it came to SFMC features with which I was not familiar. The physical scale of the show and the celebrity of the speakers and entertainers were quite impressive. I think everyone who works with the Marketing Cloud should attend Connections at least once for the experience.”
On behalf of the entire ListEngage team, I would like to thank Salesforce for another outstanding Connections this year!Back to Blog
