Team Spotlight – Stefanie Musich, Senior Campaign Specialist

In the five years since Stefanie Musich (then Uglevich) joined ListEngage, she has seen the company transform at an exponential growth rate. Hired on April 1, 2010, Stefanie is the employee who has been with ListEngage the longest.

When Stefanie started with ListEngage, there were four full-time employees and one part-time, including the CEO, Altaf Shaikh. Now, just over five years later, ListEngage boasts a staff of closer to 35 and made the 2015 Inc. 5000 list as one of the fastest-growing private companies in America.

“Growth went through the roof because Altaf is so good at seeing potential,” Stefanie reflected. “He doesn’t hire people unless he has projects to put them on. Altaf has an open-door policy and is extremely loyal to his people. Another company offered to buy ListEngage, but Altaf wouldn’t sell because he wouldn’t have been able to take his team with him. ”

From Sales to Service

In addition to the fast growth, Stefanie said the biggest change she’s seen is the shift ListEngage made from being sales-oriented to service-oriented. Even though ListEngage is a reseller of the Salesforce Marketing Cloud, the focus is more on servicing and supporting existing Salesforce clients in addition to their own. This shift became especially important in 2012 when ExactTarget issued their first IPO – converting from a privately-owned company to a publicly-owned one. And, then, again, when Salesforce bought ExactTarget and shifted to utilizing Partners for the service and support roles.

Stefanie continues to support some of ListEngage’s original clients. She handles email deployment for various companies and even fills in staffing gaps for companies who are temporarily short on staff. Some of the clients she has worked with include Herballife, StayWell, L’Oreal, MXM, Rack Room Shoes, Liberty Mutual and Blue Buffalo.

What She Does for Fun!

Probably the biggest change in Stefanie’s personal life took place this past June when she married Tom Musich. Both of Eastern European descent, Stefanie and Tom are looking forward to a trip to Prague, Budapest, Croatia and Venice this month for a delayed 2-week honeymoon.

Stefanie has two hobbies that seem like they are on opposite ends of the spectrum but actually complement one another quite well – exercise and baking. She enjoys any type of exercise, especially yoga and running. And, given her passion for baking, she says the exercise helps neutralize the calories. Her favorite sport is hockey and, a season ticketholder, she is especially passionate about the Boston Bruins.

Obsessed with S’mores

Elaborating on her baking prowess, Stefanie shared, “At the moment, I’m obsessed with S’mores, and just baked some S’mores brownies. But, the hardest thing I’ve ever baked was caramel-filled snickerdoodles. They came out like a sheet of cookie with random caramel pockets. BAD TIMES!!”

That’s another thing those who work with Stefanie have come to love – her humor and dramatic flair. As one of her coworkers pointed out, “She’s a real pistol, that one.” In other words, she makes both life and work more interesting for us all and is part of what makes us love her.
